Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) for New Hampshire Dental Assistants

Why should I use RDH Temps as my dental employment agency?
RDH Temps is the oldest and largest dental staffing agency in New England. We have thousands of dentists and dental facilities who rely on us to assist with staffing of temporary and permanent dental personnel.

What can I expect when I call?
We believe that when you call a dental temporary agency you want to talk to a person, not voice mail. Our office is staffed from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fridays. Also, our phones are monitored throughout the weekend to provide prompt service.

Do you have opportunities for permanent job placement for Dental Assistants?
Yes, we fill permanent job openings for DA and CDA jobs throughout New Hampshire and can make your dental assisting job search much easier. There is no fee to the Dental Assistant candidate, and the employer is only billed once the DA position is filled.

Where are your NH dental jobs located?
RDH Temps provides dental employment services to all N.H. cities and towns including Portsmouth, Manchester, Keene, Lebanon and Conway. We fill hundreds of Dental Auxiliary job openings for temps each week! We also place dozens of Dental Assistants in permanent part-time and full-time positions each year.

How much do Dental Assistant temps make in New Hampshire?
Our temps earn very good hourly rates. In fact, some of our Dental Assistants have income in excess of $35,000 per year from temping part-time!

What is a Dental Assistant's average salary when working in a dental office as a permanent hire?
Each dental facility or dentist will determine the pay rate that will be offered. Many factors, such as the location of the facility, experience of the candidate, and benefits offered affect the salary of a DA or CDA in New Hampshire.

Are you affiliated with the New Hampshire Dental Society or the American Dental Assistants Association?
No, we have no official affiliation but look for us at NHDS and ADAA events in New Hampshire and New England!

How can RDH Temps help advance my career in dental assisting?
RDH Temps can help you find a job doing dental assiting. If you choose to temp, you can leave your availability on file with us, or just call in for days you are looking for work. Either way, you will gain the type of valuable experience that builds dental assisting careers.

How will I be paid as a temporary Dental Assistant?
All of your temporary Dental Assisting jobs will be paid to you on one weekly paycheck from RDH Temps. If you submit your timecard for the prior week by 10:00 AM on Tuesday, your paycheck will be mailed by Thursday. We offer Direct Deposit of your wages as well!

What days and times are Dental Assistants needed?
RDH Temps lets you work according to your availability. Each dental facility has different hours, so we have jobs for Dental Assistants available Mondays through Saturdays, mornings, afternoons and evenings. You can leave your availability on file with us, or just call in for days you are looking to work.

How can I maximize my chances of getting work when I want it?
First, call in often. Even if there is nothing to offer at the time, we add you to our "looking list" for that day, and when new work comes in people on the looking list are given priority. Secondly, make sure your profile is up-to-date including your regular availability, the list of towns you prefer to travel to, your skills, experience and specialties, and your license expirations. Finally, different facilities have different documentation requirements. If you become an A.C.E. (Additionally Credentialed Employee) you will be eligible for the most jobs, however every piece of up-to-date A.C.E. documentation that you supply us with increases your chances of being a match for a job.

What is the application and hiring process?
First, submit your request here. RDH Temps will respond with our employment application. Return it to us for review and we will determine if your skill set, experience, availability, and geographic parameters match our current needs. If so, we will arrange to interview you. You will shortly be contacted by one of our personnel coordinators to schedule an interview at a location and time convenient to you. Your interviewer will guide you through the Dental Assistant employment paperwork and will provide you with all the information you will need to begin temping or to find the perfect permanent dental career opportunity for you. If not, we will notify you and put you on a future consideration list. There is never a fee to register with RDH Temps!

Why should I use RDH Temps and not just Help Wanted job listings for my Dental Assisting job search?
RDH Temps maintains a database of Dental Assistants who are seeking the right opportunity. We collect an extensive profile on each candidate and each dental facility, so we will only refer candidates who are likely to be hired. RDH Temps never charges the candidate a fee, and only charges the facility if the right match is made. Unlike when you apply through Dental Assistant Help Wanted ads, with RDH Temps you will stand out from the crowd!

What other special programs is RDH Temps, Inc. currently offering?
RDH Temps, Inc. is the only New Hampshire dental staffing agency to offer an on-line OSHA update course. We are able to offer this unique training as part of a joint venture with TCS of Wellesley (previously MedSafe).
